Rasheed Wallace was born on September 17, 1974 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He went to North Carolina to play basketball after high school. Wallace was named second team All-American and remains the record holder for the highest career field goal shooter in the ACC with a percent of 63.5. After his sophomore year, Wallace decided to enter the 1995 NBA Draft. He was selected fourth overall by the Washington Bullets. He was selected to play on the rookie team on All-Star weekend but later in the year he suffered an injury that ended his rookie season. The next year he was traded to the Portland Trailblazers where in 2001 he led his team to the NBA Finals. Then in 2004 he was traded to the Detroit Pistons and helped them become the NBA Champions. Rasheed still plays on the Pistons. He is involved in the community with his Stand Tall With Sheed foundation. Wallace is also known to play with very high emotions and has the record for most technical fouls in a season at 40.
